The Professor
by Robert Bailey

The Bookers met this month at Joyce’s house. Gina had to leave town at the last minute because of her son-in-law’s motorcycle accident so Joyce stepped in as hostess. Attending were Jay, Gary, Peggy, Nan, Marion and Joyce. The book was The Professor by Robert Bailey, a Huntsville attorney.

All read and enjoyed the book – except Peggy had not yet read the book. Overall, we thought the book might make a good movie. And all agreed the book is a real page turner. The characters were interesting and well filled out. The dog’s part was excellent.

And Bo was a real hero – maybe we will see him in a future book by the author. A fun discussion and great food!

Several of the characters were interesting in their development and I look forward to seeing more of this set in the next book.

As a follow-on book I (Jay) was reading the new John Grisham book Rogue Lawyer, another fast-paced and interesting legal thriller. Both books passed the treadmill test — how long before boredom sets in and the exercise session ends early.

Peggy – “OK. Last but not least. I did not read the book (another story) but after listening to the talk I will. I really enjoyed learning a lot of new insight into a few of you members I did not know so well. Just kidding! Looking forward to next month and seeing all who were missing.”

No one wanted to do the write-up so this is a collaboration effort where everyone contributed. Hence, the mish-mash.
